Sew Much Fun, Blockhouse Bay is having Sewing Workshops for Kids, Teens & Adults during the Summer Holidays. Sewing is a very good skill to have. You can repair your worn-out clothes, upcycle old clothes into something new, design your own clothes and make gifts for family and friends. Every student feels a sense of pride and satisfaction when they have made something on their own. The workshop runs from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The dates available are: Mon 13, Tue 14, Wed 15, Thu 16 Jan 2025 Mon 20, Tue 21, Wed 22, Thu 23 Jan 2025 The topics covered in the workshop are: Safety in the sewing room The parts of your sewing machine Winding a bobbin and threading the sewing machine Using the presser foot Sewing straight lines, back tacking and pivoting Different stitches and how to use them Useful tools to have in your sewing kit Make an item to take home The classes are small with a maximum class size of 4 to ensure that each student gets individual attention. The fee is $75 and includes fabric, thread and all the items required for the project.
