World Challenge Tag Paintball first opened in 1985 and is Auckland's longest established paintball field. Being only 8 minutes from the end of Auckland's North Western Motorway it's close to Kumeu. Set among the massive Riverhead forest, ideal cover with plenty of natural bush and pines to conceal the sniper, themed fields like Forts at Wild West and Huts in East Villaage, with 20 unique playing fields, each with it's own style and tactics. Great equipment from VForce Tournament grade goggles, Tippmann Semi-automatic Paintball Markers & Armoured gloves are issued to each player, Swat vest Body armour issued to ladies and kids. Overalls& Camouflage Clothing also available for hire. Players come to Auckland from all around New Zealand to attend Armageddon, run by Auckland Paintball Club, connecting together all 20 fields for 200 paintball enthusiasts to battle it out over the whole weekend in a variety of scenarios held in the first Weekend of March at World Challenge Tag Paintball venue in Riverhead Forest. These experienced players give high praise and 5 star reviews of the awesome battlefields.
Held during the school holidays are two school holiday programmes, Kids Camp and Tactical Ops. Two days of paintball adventure and leadership skills training.
