Waimak River Riding Centre has been operating with the same owners since 2000. Located only 15mins drive from the central city we are handy for both locals and tourists alike. Come and experience our passion for the riding lifestyle in the great outdoors!
Safety and enjoyment have always been a major focus of our business and we are ideally located right by the banks of the river so all treks are held within an area where traffic is strictly restricted and the horses are calm, dependable and well loved. Picture yourself riding along the river through woodlands and in open spaces delighting in the scenery and allow our staff to give you great photographic memories to cherish. Our fabulous guides and staff are often praised for their friendless, helpfulness and encouragement of all riders whether very nervous first timers or more experienced riders or children. Our aim is for you to have fun, be safe and tell all your friends about the fabulous riding experience you have enjoyed with us. We would be delighted to host your riding experience and look forward to seeing you soon.

    Great memory
    It was great experience of riding horse for whole family. My son loves it as a 12 years birthday activity. Love the time we spent with these retired racing horses. It's also good to support our local business at the tough time. Great team, super friendly enviornment, very safe trip. Well done team, thanks Nina, Page and girls.
