Description

If you are a beginner or advanced student of any age interested in learning great pieces and becoming a better cello or piano player then please call to arrange a lesson time or to make further enquiries. Jane also teaches music theory, aural skills and accompanies her cello students on piano. Some of her students have received full music scholarships to international music schools like the Manchester School of Music and several Sydney schools including Sydney Grammar School. As a freelance cellist she toured Asia for the musical Les Miserables and has performed in many chamber music groups throughout Sydney, England and Italy, for film and TV soundtracks, with various international artists and with Musica Viva in Schools. She is an inspiring teacher who encourages a student’s love of music.

Jane has a Master of Performance from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Music from the Australian National University. She has a passion for music and has over 25 years teaching experience. Having taught at the Sydney, Newcastle and Tamworth Conservatoriums in Australia, performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and in many musicals, Jane has had a successful career as a freelance, orchestral and chamber musician as well as running her own string quartet business for 20 years.
