For over sixty years Muriwai lifeguards have patrolled this isolated paradise, preventing injury and loss of life on one of Auckland's most popular beaches. The Junior Surf program or 'Nippers' is where it all begins for many Muriwai Lifeguards with many of the members involved since childhood.
