Franklin Basketball began in 2012 with only a few kids and has quickly grown to include over 400 players from around Franklin. Franklin Basketball runs kids basketball programs for kids aged 5 years and up. There are beginner programs through to representative teams. Beginner programs are located in Pukekohe and Waiuku. Counties Shotokan Karate Association first opened its doors for karate training in 1992, it now has dojo's in Pukekohe, Waiuku, Maraetai, Drury, Hokitika, Alexandra, Rotorua and Whakatane. There is also a Dojo in Sri Lanka that has been a part of the association for two years.
