We encourage an interest in the history of the Otahuhu area and preserve items and photographs of historical importance. Our rooms contain a collection of household items, memorabilia, photos and archives relating to the history of the Otahuhu area and how its people used to live. Founded in 1982, the Papakura Museum has displayed many artefacts, documents, and photographs of local historic interest (Papakura, Drury, and surrounding districts) to visitors for many years, and will continue to do so in years to come.
