We encourage an interest in the history of the Otahuhu area and preserve items and photographs of historical importance. Our rooms contain a collection of household items, memorabilia, photos and archives relating to the history of the Otahuhu area and how its people used to live. The purpose of the Museum is to preserve the history of Helensville and Lower Kaipara. We have four buildings which house collections of items from 1862 onwards set in cottage gardens with a small hut in a bush area. The Hec Nicholls Memorial Barn houses displays of farming, fishing, and transport items. This is good place to lose the males of the family.
